The Scariest Haloween Movie is ...

Editor Pick: My scariets movie has to be "The Ring". Did not want to watch the sequel as the first one scare me for a week. It beats the Exorcist, Jacob Ladder. But you know the scariest in my opinion probably are those true murder stories as you can't fathom how such human can behave that way. Just my two cents.

Michael’s identity (face) was reveiled, and though he did’nt speak words he was not completely silent either. All said I think the only thing that does’nt look better than the original is the mask, to me they missed the mark, mostly the hair, but beggers can’t be choosers.[2] Michael Myers has become a horror legend since previous Halloween movie in 1978 , Sixteen years ago, a ten year old boy called Michael Myers brutally, emotionless Michael Myers kills his step father, his elder sister and her boyfriend. Sixteen years later, he escapes from the mental institution and makes his way back to his hometown intent on a murderous rampage pursued by Dr Sam Loomis who is Michael’s doctor and the only one who knows Michael’s true evil.[3] Michael Myers was a whack job who killed his older sister on Halloween night in 1963 for no apparent reason. Because he was, as previously mentioned, a whack job, Myers was locked up in Smith's Grove Sanitarium until he broke out fifteen years later and started murdering young women again.[4]

Michael Myers becomes a little more human and maybe, just maybe, you sympathize with him just a little. Not enough to really make you like him, but to sympathize with what he went through to become what he is/was.[5] Michael is "killed" by being gunned down by a whole squad of police. He falls into a hole and is presumed dead.[6]

The scariest movie i have ever scene has to be SUSPIRIA. This movie made me afraid of the dark for about 5 months.[1] The scariest movie, in my opinion, is "It". But that's just because I've always been deathly afraid of clowns.[2] The scariest movie ever watched? What is the scariest movie ever?[3]

Watch it for the exorcist face. Watch it for the philosophy.[6] Watch this if you get the chance, it's five hours, but it makes an unforgettable night. [7]

Yes, by far the scariest movie I've ever seen too. I came home from a women's party last night and Jerry had it playing, about half way through.[10] Yes, it was disturbing; yes it was disgusting; yes, it was freaky. Seriously though, it wasn't THAT bad .[11] Years later, having laughed my way through other b-movie horrors i stumbled upon that box again and decided fuck it, i'll watch. [12]

Yes, it was a documentry. It is the subject matter which creates and sustains the horror throughout the film.[13]

The scariest movie of all time is the movie that scared you the most when you first saw it in a movie theater. And that probablymeans a scary movie you saw when you were a kid.[1] The scariest movie of all time is the shining. That's the only movie i've ever had to leave the room/turn off the TV while watching.[2]

Jacob's Ladder definitely belongs on the list, gave me nightmares for probably a week after I saw it the first time. [1] Jacob Singer (Tim Robbins) is a Vietnam vet who seems to be profoundly affected by his nightmarish war experiences. Is it because of some Army experiments?[2]

Horror that gets the hairs on the back of one's neck bristling in fear - a rare treat! Watch out for RING 2 - a rare sequel that equally as effective as the original.[3] Horror films have been criticized for their graphic violence and are often dismissed as low budget B-movies and exploitation films. Nonetheless, some major studios and respected directors have made forays into the genre.[4]

Psychological thriller would be a better genre for it, however. I'm part of a Horror/Scare/Thriller movie review club and The Strangers was put up for viewing and was received well by everyone.[7] Psycho (1960) -- Marion Crane ( Janet Leigh) wants to make a new life for herself, and flees Phoenix with a stolen bag of cash from her employer. She then makes a fateful stop at the Bates Motel, run by Norman Bates ( Anthony Perkins), an awkward but seemingly innocuous man.[8]

Hell, I've seen Chip dodge him 4 or 5 times before. But eventually, inevitably .the Yeti will have his prize.[20] Hellraiser 1 and 2, The Friday the 13th movies used to scare me when i was younger, but they make me laugh now. [21] Hellraiser came in fifth, although I think some people I know liked the fashions more than they were genuinely scared, but I’ll accept it. Apparently, I know some alienated-ass people, who didn’t trust their government or scientists as children, and who were just sick with fear over what was going to happen to that poor alien.[22]

Silent Hill is an adult game, not just because there is violence in it, but because the themes and issues it tackles are perverse and disturbing. The enemies are hideous to behold, but like Pyramid Head - the game's most iconic baddie - they all tie in to the background of Silent Hill and the fears of the character.[26] Silent Hill was scary as heck, yeah. I liked Condemned a lot, although I thought it would have been scarier if there hadn't been quite to many lesser bad guys.[27]
